The Paladin Defense Group Mission is to prepare for any conflict and arm our clients with the world's premiere Security and Operational Forces.
As Veterans of our Armed Forces, we were vital to the Nation through unique capabilities - operating with and through indigenous forces, understanding and wielding influence, precision targeting, and crisis response. We must continue these lines of efforts within Paladin.
The Paladin Defense Group Vision is our guidepost as we prepare our team to be more ready every day, with the training, equipment, and confidence to defend, fight, and win decisively.
To achieve this PDG Vision, we must focus on and maintain the following priorities over the years to come: Prepare, People, Pursue, Preserve.
Paladin Defense Group, Inc. was established in 2014. It was named after a Combined Joint Task Force (CJTF) that operated in Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF). This unit was CJTF Paladin.
CJTF Paladin was the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) command responsible for counter-IED efforts and Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) during the War on Terror in Afghanistan. With military and civilian personnel spread across the entire country, CJTF Paladin provided EOD Technicians, counter-IED trainers, intelligence personnel, and forensics labs to the ISAF Regional Commands.
Established in 2005 to focus on Counter-IED efforts due to the rising trend of improvised explosive devices (IED) during the conflict, targeting Afghan government, security forces, and allied forces throughout Afghanistan. CJTF Paladin had tremendous success in their mission, but with the drawdown of troops and the end of the combat mission for NATO forces, CJTF Paladin was deactivated in December 2013. It passed responsibility for all counter-IED tasks to the 242nd Ordnance Battalion (EOD), which was a significantly smaller unit.
CJTF Paladin was a team of experts in bomb technology, forensics, and intelligence gathering, that worked to devise new ways to protect forces, capture bomb makers and keep U.S. Forces "left of the boom" – stopping the next bomb before it strikes. By studying IEDs, they worked to dismantle the network of bomb makers.
